Once inside enjoy the flavorful food and drinks, peruse the silent auction items and start bidding. One bidding number per household, with additional paddles with the same bidding number available or, if you prefer, a different bidding number is available upon request. ParkingAmple free parking is available in the lots surrounding the Hellenic Center. BabysittingThe auction is an adults-only event. Make plans with your babysitter now or take advantage of the auction night babysitting service provided by Paideia high school students. They baby sit in your home and, best of all, they donate all their earnings to financial aid. BalloonsSpend $20 and get a $25 gift certificate to one of Atlanta’s favorite restaurants. Bring cash and look for the student volunteers selling the balloons. They sell out quickly, so buy more than one and do it early.
Items and gift certificates are arranged on tables situated around the Hellenic Center. The tables are grouped by category (Home and Garden, Sports and Fitness, etc.) and, with the exception of Art Gallery, by catalog number. Silent Auction opens at 5:30pm and the various sections begin closing at 7:30 at 10 – 15 minute intervals until 8:15 pm. Pay close attention to the closing times posted in each section so that you can bid often.
